How does SculptraAesthetic work?
SculptraAesthetic is a new facial injectable treatment that works differently than other injectables to address the primary cause of facial aging.
Collagen beneath the skin is a key element that provides volume and gives shape to your face. As we age, collagen begins to break down causing wrinkles, lines and folds to gradually appear and worsen over time.
Most injectables fill wrinkles, lines and folds. SculptraAesthetic gradually replaces lost collagen and provides facial structure. This allows your new look to emerge discreetly, over time.
ScultpraAesthetic:
• Helps gradually replace lost collagen.
• Provides natural-looking results that can last up to two years (individual results may vary).
• Contains poly-L-lactic acid, or PLLA, which is biocompatible and does not harm the body.
How many treatments are needed?
Generally, SculptraAesthetic treatment includes three to four injection sessions over several months. Treatments occur over time because SculptraAesthetic works gradually to replace collagen. The time between sessions allows SculptraAesthetic to work and restore a natural-looking appearance. At each session, Dr. Mitchell reviews the results of SculptraAesthetic, and determines the next treatment step to achieve the desired results.
